Big win tonight for the Sabres. After the Hurricanes and Rangers both won, the blue and gold needed a win to keep pace in the race for the playoffs.
Tonight started out more like how i expected wednesday's game to start out, high energy, and with the human wrecking ball known as Patty Kaleta hitting everyone in sight ( i have to admit, we're both from Angola so i have an extra soft spot for him). It was nice to see Cody M and Grier have some pucks go in, and i was glad to see Vanek out there with the Senators goalie pulled, more responsibility for vanek's a good thing, hopefully he'll have that "C" stitched on his sweater soon.
Plus it helps that i said earlier in the day that him and Connelly would have a big game... so the goal on the stat sheet makes me feel not so bad about that prediction....
Big game tomorrow against the flaming wheels from D-town, another win and they're %.500 for the homestand, and then heading out to a 7 game road trip with important games against the Rangers and Hurricanes next week.
I don't really follow Sabres stuff, but I'm likin' the blog! Nice layout and stuffs!
